Shlomo Tucker was born in New York, attended the Joint Program of the Jewish Theological Seminary and Columbia University, achieving two BA degrees, in History and Bible. He continued his studies towards the Rabbinate at JTS, achieving an MA degree while studying towards ordination. Upon ordination he served congregations in St Louis, MO and Charlotte, NC where he received a second MA degree, in Education.
Shlomo made aliyah with his family in 1980 and has served in Jewish educational organizations in both formal and informal Jewish education. He joined the Schechter Rabbinical Seminary where he served for 23 years, retiring as Dean of the SRS in 2016. For many summers, Shlomo served on the educational staff of the Ramah Camps, including serving as Head of Education for five years.
Since 2005 he has studied and practiced NLP, achieving all the levels of certification available in Israel including "Trainer", which is the highest level of certification available in Israel.
Rabbi Shlomo has a private practice for his work in NLP, as well as teaching courses and writing in the field. He has created a unique model combining study of classic Jewish texts with the principles and application of NLP.
In addition to his professional work in NLP, he continues his work in Jewish education, working with families who wish to build a special service in Israel to celebrate a bar or bat mitzvah or other family event.

Series of 8 sessions in the course “Jewish Values and NLP”
Within this course participants will be involved in study of selections from classic Jewish texts taken from Torah, Midrash, Talmud and Halakha which are based on principles shared in the world of NLP thinking. Participants will come away with a deeper understanding of classic Jewish texts as well as an understanding of basic NLP principles that promote personal growth, self-confidence and wellbeing, along with tools for building strong and healthy relationships.
Series of 6 meetings on reduction of stress.
Within this framework we will utilize NLP, Guided Imagery, Gestalt and other techniques to acquire skills for practical application in our often stressful daily lives.
Individual spiritual work for the Rabbi, Cantor and Jewish Educator: Individual one-on-one counselling sessions on personal topics on your path towards more beneficial interaction with friends, family, co-workers, congregants, and with yourself, including issues of belief and behavior. Topics are built according to the request of the individual, and can vary according to personal needs. Use will be made of Jewish texts to illuminate aspects of spiritual development. The number of meetings is to be determined together.
